All of the Dogs , Cats and critters are metal and naturally rust with age -- that's their beauty. As the artist says, "They rust, but they'll never run away."

The metal animals have been sprayed with a clear acrylic spray, we recommend spraying them occasionally to retard rusting. Some of our customers have let their animals develop the natural patina (rust) and then spray them with a clear sealant. The animals look great this way.
